How do I register?

You’ve got options!
Online: Register here, agree to our policies, and pay using a credit card or PayPal (no PayPal account needed!). For e-transfer, email account@lolart.ca. We’ll confirm once payment is received.
In-person: Fill out a form, agree to our policies, and pay by cash, cheque, debit, or credit. (Please note: in-person cancellations incur a $35 admin fee)
Unfortunately, we don’t accept registrations by phone.

Can I register after the term has already started?

Most of our classes are ongoing and you may jump in at any time. We’ll pro-rate the fee. That said, we don’t want you joining halfway through a project, so please check in with our teachers first. We’ll help you choose the best start date.

However, for our Digital Art and Drawing & Painting Fundamentals programs, registration closes once the term begins. These classes follow a structured path where each week builds on the last, leading up to a final project, so it's important to start from day one!

How do I choose the right program?

Start with our program chart and course descriptions. Choose based on age and skill level. Still unsure? Give us a call (416.250.8110 x.101) or email service@lolart.ca. We’re always happy to match students to their perfect creative fit!

My child is between levels, which class should we choose?

When in doubt, start at the lower level. This way, the student will feel more comfortable and gain more confidence. If they progress quickly, we can move them up.

If I took a class before, do I get the same spot next term?

Spots aren’t guaranteed; all students must re-register each term. Want a heads-up when registration opens? Join our newsletter!

What are the class sizes?

We keep our classes small to ensure personal attention:

Littlest Lolart & Portfolio: 4 students
Art & Giggle, Proudness, Achievement: 8 students
Play & Clay: 5 students
Camps: 8 students per group

Class size may vary by location, based on studio space.

If your chosen class is full, you can join our waitlist. We’ll be in touch if a spot opens up!

Do you offer free trial classes?

Sorry, we don't offer free classes. But if you register and find that the class isn’t the right fit, you can withdraw before the third class for a prorated refund. Just send us a quick email at account@lolart.ca before the third class starts.

What if I miss a class?

Life happens, we understand! If you give us at least 24 hours' written notice, we’ll be happy to schedule a make-up class (limit of 2 per term).
Make-ups must be used during the same term and can’t roll over, so we recommend scheduling them as soon as possible, and ideally with the same teacher, within the same week.

What if the school cancels a class?

If we ever need to cancel (for weather, teacher illness, etc.), we’ll arrange a make-up session. If the available times don't work for you, we’ll apply the value as a credit toward your next registration.

What are the costs of the classes?

Prices vary by program. Head over to our Registration page for all the fees and schedule.

Are materials included?

Of course! We provide all drawing, painting, and clay materials. For digital art classes, students use tablets and styluses provided during class.

What's your refund policy?

Year-round classes: Withdraw before the 3rd class for a prorated refund.

Online registration: Refund via credit card or PayPal.
In-person registration: $35 admin fee applies; refund by cheque (10 business days).

Camps: Withdraw up to 2 weeks before camp starts to receive a refund (minus a $35 admin fee). No refunds are available after that deadline.

Are there any discounts?

We don’t offer discounts for regular term-based classes, but we do run occasional promotional workshops and send out discount codes through our mailing list. We also donate vouchers at school fairs and community events, so keep an eye out for us in your neighbourhood!

Can I visit the studio before registering?

We'd love to give you a tour! Just call or email to book a 10–15 minute tour. Please note that weekends are pretty busy with classes, so tours are better on weekdays.

Can I observe a class?

We totally get the curiosity! While you can peek through our classroom windows, we don’t allow visitors inside during lessons. This helps keep the class focused and respects everyone’s privacy.

Is parking available?

There is free parking available for both our North York and Vaughan locations

Are your studios wheelchair accesible?

Our North York location is on the 2nd floor, which is accessible by an elevator. Please note that it is an old elevator, carefully read the its sign and follow the instructions.

Our Vaughan studio is on the ground floor.

What qualifications do the instructors have?

All instructors are working artists with post-secondary training. All of our instructors are trained under the same method developed by LOLART’s founder. The “LOLART Method” helps ensure consistency in how we teach, support, and inspire our students, no matter which class or location they’re in. We’re here to nurture creativity, build skills, and help each student shine!

Can I apply to work at LOLART School?

Do you accept co-op students or volunteers?

Yes! We welcome co-op students and interns, depending on availability, interest, and experience. Just email us at service@lolart.ca, we’d love to hear more about you.

Are you closed on holidays?

For the 2025 to 2026 School Year, we are closed on the following holidays:

Labour Day - Sat, Aug 30 to Mon, Sep 1

Thanksgiving - Sat, Oct 11 to Mon, Oct 13

Winter Break - Sat, Dec 20, 2025 to Fri, Jan 2, 2026

Family Day - Sat, Feb 14 to Mon, Feb 16

Easter - Fri, Apr 3 to Mon, Apr 6

Victoria Day - Sat, May 16 to Mon, May 18

When do the semesters end?

The last day of our Fall 2025 term is Dec 19.

Am I paying for classes that fall on holidays?

Nope! You’re only paying for the classes that actually run. Holidays aren’t included in the price since our rates are per class.

What if I need to miss a class for a religious or cultural holiday that isn’t a statutory holiday?

We understand that everyone celebrates different holidays! Just give us at least 24 hours’ written notice of absence, and we’ll be happy to schedule a make-up class (limit of 2 per term).
Make-ups must be used within the same term, so try to book them as soon as possible—ideally with the same teacher, within the same week.
