Art & Proudness learners will dive into their creative ‘mind’s eye’ as they experiment with exciting materials and master foundational art skills, including perspective, anatomy, composition, colour and more! They will exercise their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to create artworks that tell a story. Witness your children grow into open-minded individuals who are proud of who they are and what they make!

What to Expect

Make space on your walls and refrigerator! In each term, we'll work on 3-4 projects including a big project (acrylic painting and/or clay sculpting). At this level, students will learn to draw 3D forms, create the illusion of light and darkness through pencil shading and colouring, and learn the concepts of the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. Each project has a theme and everyone is encouraged to develop their own story within the theme to make a personal connection to their artwork. Each lesson, students will build on their pre-existing/learned concepts to create their masterpieces.
